CLOSE TO 1500 TESTS CARRIED OUT POST BEIJING
UK Sport carried out a total of 1,407 tests between 1 October and 31 December last year via its national anti-doping programme, according to figures released by the organisation. This takes the total number of tests for 2008/09 to 5,603.

December saw 51 athletes who were recruited via the Girls4Gold talent identification campaign assessed for their suitability for the winter Olympic sport of bob skeleton at the University of Bath.
INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME ALUMNI FORMALLY LAUNCHED
UK Sport's International Leadership Programme Alumni were formally launched at Twickenham Stadium last weekend. Hosted by the Rugby Football Union, the alumni launch brought together participants from the first two years of the programme.
UK SPORT STATEMENT ON ATHLETE WHEREABOUTS
Andy Parkinson, UK Sport's Director of Drug-Free Sport, has sought to calm recent concerns expressed about new athlete whereabouts rules which came in to place at the start of the year.
