CYCLING LEAPS IN POPULARITY AS SURVEY SHOWS PUBLIC PRIDE IN BRITISH SPORTING SUCCESS
Seventy two per cent of the British public say that the performances of our athletes in the Olympic and Paralympic Games made them proud to be British, according to a major new survey published by UK Sport.
International representation for three more British sports
INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATION FOR THREE MORE BRITISH SPORTS

Towards the end of last year, British Gymnastics, England Squash and the British Table Tennis Federation all announced that they now have representation on their worldwide governing bodies. UK Sport works alongside national governing bodies to assist them in identifying opportunities to contribute to the international governance and development of their respective sports.

The success of British athletes and their support teams in the 2008 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games has been recognised in the 2009 New Year Honours list.
