Andy Parkinson, Acting Director of Drug-Free Sport at UK Sport, has welcomed plans to re-test samples taken at this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that samples will be re-tested for Cera – a form of EPO.
UK Sport announced last week that following a meeting of its Board earlier this week it has agreed to support the newly reconstituted British Amateur Boxing Association (BABA) as the lead body driving forward Olympic success for 2012.
Manchester is set to welcome the best squash players from around the globe as the men's and women's world championships are held concurrently for the first time in the UK. The event, taking place between 11-16 October, is the sixth World Championship to be supported by UK Sport's Lottery funded World Class Events Programme in 2008.
