"It's been a great year for me and for British archery, and if I can bring home a medal from Dubai that will be fantastic," said the 26-year-old who also won a bronze medal at this year's World Championships in Leipzig. NETBALL… England narrowly missed out on third place at the World Championships after a one goal defeat to Jamaica in the third place play-off. Having lost out 33-51 to eventual Champions Australia in the last four, Marg Caldow's side went down 52-52 in the play-off game despite coming from 12 points down. "Jamaica came out firing and we were a bit slow out of the blocks," said Caldow. "However I'm very proud of how the girls responded and how they came out hard, particularly towards the end. Jamaica played a very smart game, keeping the ball short and making us work for possession, and we found it hard to come back at them." Meanwhile Wales finished 12th following defeat to Trinidad & Tobago, and Scotland lost out 45-51 to Barbados to come 14th. More@ England Netball; Netball Scotland; Welsh Netball
