FOOTBALL… England and Wales are one win away from qualifying for next year's Paralympic Games at the Cerebral Palsy World Cup. If they do clinch a spot in China, they will be known as Great Britain.
NETBALL… England became the first team to seal a place in the semi-finals of the World Championships when they overpowered Malawi 81-37 in Auckland today. After a slow start, England gradually found their stride, going on to lead at the end of each quarter 21-8, 46-14 and 66-26. "It's nice to get through that one," said England coach Marg Caldow. "They are always hard matches when you hit this stage and you're never quite sure what's going to happen and how you're going to perform, so we're through and that's the main thing." VOLLEYBALL… Britain's men are still awaiting their first win in the Dutch league after losing to Landstede and DOC Stap Orion at the weekend.
