British athletes on target for Beijing success
BRITISH ATHLETES ON TARGET FOR BEIJING SUCCESS - UK SPORT

With just five weeks to go before the start of the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, British athletes are "on target and where we would want to be in terms of medal prospects", according to John Steele, Chief Executive of UK Sport, the nation's elite sport agency.

UK SPORT/EIS JOINT STATEMENT ON STRATEGIC REVIEW
Since February 2008 UK Sport, in consultation with the English Institute of Sport (EIS), has been undertaking a review of sports science and medical service delivery through the EIS. This review is an important element of UK Sport's 2009-13 investment planning towards London 2012 and beyond.
