With the 1500 days to go marker until the start of the 2012 Olympic Games passing this week, there is still time to sign up for UK Sport's talent identification initiative, Girls4Gold, and make the podium in London.
ANTI-DOPING EDUCATION TO THE FORE FOR SCOTTISH SPORTS
A number of leading Scottish governing bodies have this week taken the first step towards embedding athlete education into their anti-doping strategy at a workshop organised by UK Sport and sportscotland.
HOLMES SECURES SENIOR INTERNATIONAL POST
David Holmes, a participant in UK Sport's International Leadership Programme (ILP), which aims to provide UK sports administrators with the skills they need to be effective on the international stage, has been appointed to the key position of Executive Director, Sport at the FEI – the international federation for equestrian.
CARDIFF HOSTING UK SPORT'S CITIES AND REGIONS SEMINAR
The third annual meeting of UK Sport's 'Cities and Regions' Group takes place this week, bringing together key individuals from across the UK's local authorities, regional development agencies and home country agencies who are responsible for supporting World Class sports events across the country.
