UK Sport has put the successful implementation by sport of the revised World Anti-Doping Code at the heart of its plans for the coming year. The pledge comes on the day it released the final set of figures for the 2007/08 testing programme.

A unified approach to 'athlete whereabouts' and 'missed tests' moved one step closer this week with the World Anti-Doping Agency's publication of the revised International Standard for Testing. The new Standard will come into effect on 1 January 2009.

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has awarded the hosting rights of the 2010 Women's Champions Trophy to England Hockey - an event supported by UK Sport's Lottery funded World Class Events Programme.
