With the 2009 revised Code coming into force in the New Year, changes are afoot in the fight against doping in sport - not least those to the whereabouts system. However, says UK Sport, these should not be seen as a cause for alarm.

Manchester has been crowned the best 'Sports City' in the world for its successful hosting of six international sports events this year - four of which were supported by UK Sport's World Class Events Programme.

International Inspiration, the UK led programme which aims to deliver the international promise made by the London bid team in Singapore, held an in-country launch in Brazil – one of five pilot countries – earlier this month.

SPRINGMAN APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT OF ITU
The President of British Triathlon, Dr Sarah Springman OBE, is to be one of four Vice Presidents of the International Triathlon Union it was announced earlier this month. UK Sport works alongside sports such as triathlon, to assist them in identifying opportunities to contribute to contribute to the international governance and development of their respective sports.
