The Prime Minister announced this week a £9 million investment program to support sporting projects in five developing countries around the world. The pilot is the start of a larger programme called "International Inspiration".
A major partnership between British sport and one of the world's leading engineering organisations was announced to help British athletes in their quest for medals at World and European Championships as well as future Summer and Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The two next summer Olympic hosts China and Great Britain announced at the weekend their intention to work together to give their athletes and coaches a shared experience of the pressures of preparing for and competing in a home Games.
The British Bob Skeleton and Short Track Skating teams both produced Champions at their respective European Championships in Italy and Latvia at the weekend.
